Job Summary Responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of Company operated aircraft and articles as assigned in accordance with Air Methods’ policies and procedures. Ensures company operational goals and objectives are met, while guaranteeing all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals. At this base you will be primarily working on PC-12 (fixed wing), but there is also possibilities that you will be working on EC130's or AS 350's (rotorary wing).    Roswell is a city located in Chaves County, New Mexico, United States. It is situated in the southeastern part of the state, approximately 200 miles southeast of Albuquerque.   Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: • Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components in accordance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, service letters, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations • Upon installation or removal of any component or assembly, the Mechanic shall verify by physical inspection or markings on the part that the part number and serial number match the associated documentation • Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals to include specific chapters • Actively participates in the continuous improvement phase (level 4) of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedures • Maintains work area in a clean and professional manner Responsible for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed by the Director of Operations, Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, Regional Maintenance Director, Director of Safety, or Lead Mechanic • Responsible for advising the Pilot in Command (PIC) of any maintenance issues that would take an aircraft out of service • Responsible for validating or confirming the data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft he or she is working on including • Request aviation parts and supplies in order to maintain an adequate and orderly inventory of all stock items to ensure prompt repairs for operational readiness • Other Duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements Additional Job Requirements - Provide timely on call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary - Regular scheduled attendance - Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 25 – 50% - Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives will be expected. Job Summary Responsible for designing, implementing, and instructing maintenance training programs for 135 Field mechanics and 145 Repair Station mechanics. Creates plans and implements department training and curriculum and is responsible for its delivery to all mandated employees. Job Summary Responsible to lead the Maintenance staff and to carry out the mission, goals and objectives of Air Methods. Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following: - Provide input to staff evaluations as requested by Area Manager/RCM - Responsible for auditing program maintenance locations for aviation parts and supplies, tool calibrations, safety concerns and all other base needs to ensure prompt repairs for operational readiness. -  Receives feedback related to flight issues/concerns, to include RSQ911 feedback; assists in resolution of issue and/or refers matter to appropriate person for resolution. - Attends hospital/program meetings or training. -  Collaborates with other discipline leads regarding maintenance and operation of the program. - Assists Area Manager with employee scheduling - Function as a resource for dissemination of new information and problem resolution - Ensures all maintenance publications and company manuals are current and available to maintenance personnel. - Ensures all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies. - Sends a copy of the Mechanical Interruption Summary or Service Difficulty Report to Program Maintenance Manager or if applicable the Regional Maintenance Director for review - Responsible for correcting compliance or safety issues when directed by the Director of Operations, Director of Maintenance, Chief Pilot, Regional Maintenance Director, Director of Safety, or Program Maintenance Manager or Area Manager. - Responsible for thorough knowledge of Air Methods General Maintenance Manual, field Mechanics Procedures manual, Air Methods’ policies and procedures as well as meeting operational goals and objectives. - Responsible for validating or confirming the data in the Status Report concerning the aircraft being worked on including: - Ensure discrepancies discovered by the aircraft Records department are appropriately addressed - Verify all changes are made by the Inspections and Records Department upon receipt of an updated Status Report. - Verify accuracy of the Status Report regarding compliance of FAA required inspections, Ads, and service bulletins/service letters issued by Air Methods’ Certificate Management Team or Engineering - Verify accuracy of the Status Report regarding required inspections and servicing intervals and currency. - Verify accuracy of the Status Report to the actual configuration of the aircraft regarding Part Number (P/N), Serial Number (S/N), and Total Time/Time Since Overhaul (TT/TSO) of the time-tracked assemblies and components - Schedule aircraft maintenance and provide Area Manager and RMM/RMD with current aircraft status and forecast down time to facilitate maintenance scheduling. - Participate in maintenance forecasting calls with the assigned corporate planners, monitor “HY” packages as they are assigned and provide scheduling input for all components and rotable items. - Troubleshoot and provide assistance in problem solving to outlying mechanics. - Other Duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements - Provide timely on call availability during nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary - Regular scheduled attendance - Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling: 25 – 50% - Periodic travel in support of Part 135 operations and company objectives will be expected. Maintains documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, aviation and safety training, OSHA and HIPAA training, clinical rotations, and advanced procedures and attends continuing education programs pertinent to his/her area of practice. - Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by Air Methods CBS. Responsible for reporting medical equipment failures and taking initial steps to insure repair of equipment as directed. Maintains adequate supplies onboard aircraft to deliver patient care. Keeps aircraft clean and orderly to insure rapid response to all transport requests. - Functions as a medical flight member by attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and completing necessary documentation. Assists in pre-mission liftoff checklist and assists pilot as requested, i.e., radio, navigational, and visual observation activities. Complies with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment and conducts aircraft safety briefings as needed.   - Serves as a flight resource to neonatal/pediatric personnel when transporting specialty patients by helicopter and performs advanced skills and procedures as approved by Air Methods CBS Medical Director(s). - Participates in patient and referring institution follow-up and in planned outreach marketing and education activities. - Acts as a preceptor and/or participates in orientation of new employees and students as assigned and communicates program goals and objectives - Participates regularly in Air Methods CBS meetings, activities, projects and committees (to include research and publishing opportunities). - Other Duties as assigned Additional Job Requirements - Maintains a high level of flexibility and availability to be scheduled for a minimum of two 24 hour shifts per week at any CBS base where currently licensed.  Schedules are provided by the Centralized Scheduling team 4 – 8 weeks in advance.  Self-scheduling is not permitted.  Inability to be scheduled for two shifts per week as a result of providing limited availability (less than 5 consecutive days per week), in the absence of requested benefit time, will result in a written warning for the first occurrence.  A second occurrence will result in a final written warning.  A third occurrence will result in removal from the float position.  If failure to meet the expectation for shift coverage is due to removal from a shift by Centralized Scheduling as a result of other coverage found, no disciplinary action will occur. - Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 85% Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.  All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies. Skills - Skills as required to practice nursing as defined by assigned state scope of practice and advanced practice skills as defined by Medical Director (s) and Medical Standards - Maintains positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public while executing strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels - Demonstrates high critical thinking and reasoning skills and strong attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment that requires ability to prioritize and multi-task - Ability to work a flexible schrdule including 24 hour shifts, overtime and an on-call rotation - Dependable and self-motivated while working in a frequently changing environment - Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal Computer Skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Certificates, Licenses, Registrations - Current RN License(s) for states of practice where Air Methods maintains CBS locations.  Nurse compact license preferred. - EMS or MICN certification/licensure as required by state regulations - Current certifications in Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR; ACLS; PALS or equivalent (AHA courses if state or county required) and TNCC/ITLS/PHTLS advanced provider (if state or county required) - Specialty certification (CFRN, CCRN, or CEN) are required  - Advanced Trauma Course requirement:  One (1) of the following certifications are acceptable: TNCC, ATLS/ATCN, TPATC or CAMTS approved advanced trauma course (Please note, advanced skills lab may be required for some of the above mentioned advanced trauma courses).  A second trauma course may be required based on state requirements - Current NRP certification - NIMS Training IS 100, 200, 700, 800 and HazMat Air Methods is an EEO/AA employer.
