Overview

Job Summary

The Clinical & Supply Chain Intern position consists of three rotational blocks: one block in Supply Chain and two blocks in Clinical. Interns gain exposure to both frontline operations and back-office healthcare management, contributing to areas such as Clinical Training, Clinical Administration, Supply Chain Procurement and Sourcing, and Supply Chain Data Management.

Through these rotations, interns develop a broad understanding of healthcare operations while supporting key initiatives and projects across clinical and supply chain functions.

Clinical Rotations

During the clinical blocks, interns work alongside experienced clinical professionals and are assigned a variety of administrative, analytical, and observational duties. Interns may support clinical education, quality initiatives, and operational activities through project work and shadowing opportunities. These assignments are designed both to support the clinical team and to provide a meaningful professional development experience for the intern.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following.   

  • Clinical-related projects and assignments
  • Clinical education analysis related to assigned projects
  • Support activities, including SimEX labs, training events, clinician shadowing at a base, possible third-rider observation, INDOC attendance, and administrative support
  • Review and verification of documents prepared by others
  • Presentation of data from work-study projects

Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.  All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education & Experience

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (BS) or master’s degree (M.A.) in the healthcare environment from a four-year college or university, however other technical majors will be considered
  • Ability to consistently follow established procedures and processes

Skills

  • Strong organizational aptitude, able to understand complex data structures effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently and has a strong attention for detail.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Minimum pay

USD $22.00/Hr.
