Job Summary
The Manager, Corporate Publications, oversees the day-to-day coordination, development, revision, formatting, and document control compliance of Air Methods’ operational documentation, including policy manuals, procedures, processes, forms, and operational bulletins. This role helps ensure publications are accurate, user-focused, consistent with company formatting and document control standards, and aligned with applicable regulatory and quality requirements, including FAA 14 CFR Part 135.21, Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) standards, and Document Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
This is a hands-on working manager role in which the incumbent actively drafts, edits, formats, reviews, and maintains documentation alongside a small team while coordinating daily publication activities and workflow. The Manager works closely with cross-functional subject-matter experts to develop clear, practical documentation that supports safe, compliant, and efficient operations across the organization.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
• Assess, revise, and manage Corporate Publications processes and continuous improvement that enhances document quality, workflow efficiency, regulatory compliance, and end-user usability.
• Lead, coach, and develop Corporate Publications team members; provide role clarity, training, performance feedback, and professional development planning
• Identify documentation gaps and opportunities to standardize, streamline, and improve policies
• Partner with departmental leaders and subject matter experts to create, reorganize, and revise enterprise publications as needed
• Coordinate cross-departmental reviews to assess downstream impacts and obtain required internal and regulatory approvals
• Enforce document control processes, corporate style guidelines, and versioning standards to ensure content integrity and audit readiness
• Conduct user validation and acceptance testing to confirm documentation effectiveness and usability prior to release
• Other duties as assigned
Additional Job Requirements
Subject to applicable laws, FAA 14 CFR Part 135.21 (Manual Requirements), Document Quality Management System (QMS) standards, and Air Methods policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position. All employees must comply with Air Methods' employment practices and policies, as well as established document control, regulatory, and quality compliance requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise employees in the Corp Publications Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, applicable laws, FAA regulatory requirements (including Part 135.21 manual oversight responsibilities), and quality management principles.
Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.

Education & Experience
Skills
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
• Demonstrated adaptability to shifting requirements, timelines, and regulatory constraints.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear guidance.
• Proven experience planning, designing, implementing, testing, and delivering documentation projects end-to-end.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Computer Skills
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Visio, or similar visual documentation software.
• Familiar with Adobe FrameMaker or a similar document-publishing tool.
• Experience with Microsoft Forms development.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Certified Document Controller or similar professional certification, preferred
