Overview

Job Summary

Responsible for the Repair Stations systematic planning and coordination of documentation, outside support and maintenance activities for aircraft heavy maintenance visits at United Rotorcraft 145 locations. This position collaborates with the Repair Station Supervisor, Project Manager, Planning and Materials departments to ensure a continued flow of information, materials and outside support for hangar and shop projects. The Production Planner 145 will provide a project workflow to the leads in regard to manpower, materials and equipment requirements. Coach/train/mentor assigned team members.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Ensure all routine and non-routine maintenance work packets associated with the maintenance visits are completed; both repair station documents and in the company’s EAP system (Ramco) to minimize document research by maintenance personnel during scheduled event.
  • Oversee coordination with other departments as required to facilitate on time delivery of all materials, tooling, Engineering Packages, EARS, and Flight Test Pilots to meet project deadlines.
  • Schedule and organize production meetings to insure efficient project workflow. Meetings to include pre-induction meeting, cut-off meeting, milestone meetings (as required), and post project lessons learned meeting.
  • Create and manage Gantt chart maintenance schedule throughout project. Identify material and support issues and coordinate changes in project workflow with maintenance management.
  • Will continually assess current shop practices to identify areas of waste and opportunities of increased maintenance efficiencies and ensure the company SMS system is maintained.
  • Attend the daily shop “white board” meeting to report on delays in resources or materials and identify new production goals and strategies. Assist CRS management as required.
  • Responsible for providing KPI data, updating project dashboards, production boards, hangar updates, and capacity plan
  • Ensure timely and accurate responses to emails and phone calls to all appropriate parties.
  • Supervisor requirements: coach/train/mentor, ensure time and attendance is complete and accurate, monitor and edit Ramco clock ins, ensure all required training is complete.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director/Operations Manager of the 145 Repair Station.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees in the paint, avionics, sheet metal and aircraft maintenance department.  Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.  For Exempt Managers:  Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent in Maintenance Planning from two-year college or technical school and eight (8) or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 Years Aviation Experience
  • 6 months Level 1 experience minimum

  • Previous experience in aircraft MRO businesses

Computer Skills

  • Intermediate with Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Advanced Excel Skills

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Airframe & Powerplant Certificate or equivalent experience in aircraft maintenance production preferred
  • Aviation Experience Required

USD $74,100.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $92,612.50/Yr.
