Job Summary
The Vice President of National Sales oversees both national and regional sales operations, managing through subordinate leadership levels. This role requires close collaboration with multiple departments and involves making strategic decisions that significantly influence the success of the division or broader business function.

Develop and translate the national sales strategy into a regional, actionable plan.
Provide strategic leadership to Regional Sales Directors in designing, launching, and optimizing sales processes and initiatives.
Plan, coordinate, and evaluate complex projects or programs for implementation across region or on a national scale
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following.
Provide leadership and oversight to regional sales leadership to create new and expanded business opportunities with existing customers within the region. Determine areas of opportunity for existing relationships and plan to exploit relationships
Overall responsibility for the implementation of an annual business development plan. Provide leadership coaching to regional sales leaders to achieve annual Air Methods KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) and growth plan.
Focus efforts of the region’s sales leadership to expand existing customer relationships to meet annual revenue targets
Collaborate with RVPs of Customer Experience for customer meetings and work with them to ensure all customer concerns are addressed in a timely and consistent manner.
Provides input in the preparation of an annual capital and operational budget for area sales/marketing program while ensuring the planning, coordination and execution of events and special programs are managed
Collaborate with Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Communication leaders, to meet customer outreach objectives, call cycle attainment and provide timely updates regarding business and demographic changes, including competitive market intelligence

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises Regional Sales Directors. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and ten or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master’s Degree preferred
Experience in medical transportation services preferred
Management experience at the tactical and semi-strategical level
