Job Summary
The Corporate Counsel will provide legal support and counsel to Air Methods regional operations and sales teams. This position primarily involves transactional duties, but may also include assisting with general corporate and litigation matters.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including agreements with hospitals and municipalities, real estate and equipment leases, supplier and vendor agreements, software and IT agreements, and consulting and professional services agreements.
Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of Air Methods’ contracting process using the company’s contracts management software.
Develop and maintain standard contract templates and forms.
Assist senior legal team members with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating more complex and strategic agreements.
Assist with general litigation and compliance matters as needed.
Other Duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
Juris Doctorate (JD)
2-5 years’ transactional experience in a law firm or in-house position, including experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
Skills
Working knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations preferred
Experience in the healthcare or aviation industry preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
Computer Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
