Job Summary

 

The Aviation Manager, Pilot Recruitment is responsible for evaluating pilot candidates within assigned regions, including resume review, interviews, compensation recommendations, and candidate experience/currency. This position will work closely with aviation leadership to align on candidate viability and dispositioning. This role will be responsible for improving consistency in Pilot candidate assessment and speed to hire without sacrificing quality or safety, and the overall candidate hiring experience. The Aviation Manager, Pilot Recruitment, will also be expected to support recruiting events and activities as required.

 

Responsibilities

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Review candidate resumes and conduct interviews
    • Analyze pilot candidates resume to assess qualifications, flight experience, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness.
    • Conduct structured interviews to evaluate technical proficiency, behavioral competencies, and alignment with company values and safety culture.
  • Provide aviation leadership (RAM/RAD/CP/DO) with summaries of candidate qualifications and compensation recommendations
    • Prepare and deliver detailed candidate assessments to Regional Aviation Managers (RAM), Regional Aviation Directors (RAD), Chief Pilots (CP), and Directors of Operations (DO).
    • Utilize standardized evaluation criteria to ensure consistency and fairness.
    • Recommend compensation packages, including base pay and stipend requests, based on market competitiveness, internal equity, and candidate credentials.
  • Partner with Field Operations on scheduling customer interviews and base visits, as required
    • Coordinate with Field Operations teams to arrange candidate interviews with customer representatives and facilitate base visits.
    • Ensure logistics are managed efficiently and that candidates have positive experience during these interactions.
  • Coordinate with Area Managers and Onboarding Specialists to ensure new hires are prepared for orientation, training, and their new role
    • Act as a central point of contact to ensure new pilot hires are fully prepared for onboarding.
    • Confirm completion of pre-employment requirements, coordinate start dates, and facilitate communication between hiring, onboarding, and operational teams to support a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Communicate with the appropriate training department personnel to ensure effective management of training slots
    • Liaise with training department staff to monitor availability of training slots and align candidate onboarding timelines accordingly.
    • Proactively manage scheduling conflicts and ensure optimal utilization of training resources to support operational needs.
  • Attend industry recruiting events
    • Represent the organization at aviation career fairs, university outreach programs, and industry conferences.
    • Engage with prospective candidates, promote the company’s brand, and career opportunities, and build relationships to support long-term talent acquisition strategies.
  • Other Duties as assigned
    • Support additional recruitment and integration initiatives, including process improvement projects, data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall pilot hiring experience.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university and eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in aviation and air medical transports.
  • Minimum of 2,500 flight hours
  • Two (2) years of experience in a Part 135 operation.

USD $89,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $113,000.00/Yr.
