Overview

 Job Summary

 The Quality Assurance Auditor develops/performs/compiles/reviews and analyses QA Department function audits of internal and 3 party vendors to ensure audit schedule is met and assist the Director of Quality to ensure statistical analysis & data assessment transpire as an integral part of the QA Department & the Safety Management System.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform Approved Vendor List Audits of AMC AVL Tier 1 Vendors.  AVL Audits ensure regulatory compliance of AMC’s maintenance providers and ensure high performance of vendors to impact the reduction of cost and out of service time of AMC aircraft and articles
  • Perform Maintenance Base Inspections and tracking. These inspections include evaluations of processes and procedures to ensure company compliance with internal manuals and standards and external regulatory requirements to identify potential gaps and/or opportunities to improve organizational policies, procedures, and processes
  • Perform Fuel Quality Audits and tracking of AMC Fuel Quality Program to ensure company compliance with internal procedures and standards and external regulatory requirements
  • Assist Director of Quality with QA Dashboard management and review of manuals and revisions
  • Other duties as assigned

 Qualifications

 Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three to five years’ related experience with a Part 135 or Part 121 operator; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an Aviation related field (I.e. Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, or other related field) preferred

  • Previous helicopter air ambulance operator experience

  • Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations Part 14 is a required

  • 3+ years’ previous QA experience preferred

  • Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Safety Management System experience preferred

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and Guidance Documentation, Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, and DOT drug and alcohol regulations preferred

    Skills 

  • Demonstrates high critical thinking and reasoning skills and strong attention to detail while working in a fast paced environment that requires ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of collaboration with all members of staff as well as external clients/customers

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion

    Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • FAA Certification - (Airframe and\or Powerplant required, - (Inspection Authorization) preferred)

Minimum pay

USD $80,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $105,000.00/Yr.
