Overview

 

Job Summary

 

Responsible to manage an efficient staff scheduling system for future scheduling needs and determine how to best distribute staff to meet demand and keep bases in service.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

 

Keeps scheduling system accurate

 

• Utilize shift schedule patterns to determine shifts

 

• Create schedules all employees: regular clinicians, line and lead pilots, clinical floats, relief pilots, national pool pilots, per diems/part time

 

• Assign schedules to new employees

 

• Ensure vacation approvals are entered into scheduling system

 

• Process schedule changes – shift sign ups, trades/swaps

 

• Process Area Manager requests for modification of scheduling events (meetings, trainings, etc.)

 

Responsible for efficiently staffing with cost implications in mind for assigned bases

 

• Making proactive staffing recommendations

 

• Working with Area Manager on staffing solutions, employee data

 

• Available on call to deal with scheduling requirements and emerging staffing issues

 

Establish a set of scheduling resources and monitoring systems to manage schedule administration, communication and to track performance

 

• Develops new reports on ad hoc or scheduled basis, maintains an existing suite of reports, automates new reports as needed, and implements self-service tools for all lines of business

 

• Present findings in a professional and concise format appropriate for content and audience

 

  • Consistently performs a quality review of data and report results; question and validate data for integrity and consistency, documenting report processes and the logic applied in all reporting to support our data integration efforts

 

For the capacity planning process, assists in the development and upkeep of

 

• Staffing models

 

• Headcount reports

 

• KPI measurement and trends

 

• Open shifts handover & Float/Relief Pilot Utilization

 

Provides analytical support for special projects

 

• Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

 

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Skills

 

• Ability to manage several projects concurrently

 

• Assess situations and supports decisions by researching, validating and organizing a variety of defined and undefined observations or issues in a fact-based detailed-oriented manner

 

• Develops and presents recommendations from accurate assessments and/or analysis

 

• Serves as an active participant in the development of basic analysis, identification of concerns, and the validation of observations and risks

 

 

 

Computer Skills

 

• Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

 

•  Capable of learning key technical systems, write SQL queries, understand relational data bases

Minimum pay

USD $50,625.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $61,260.00/Yr.
