Overview

Job Summary

The Aircraft Records Lead is responsible for leading and supporting the Aircraft Record’s auditors in compliance with daily operations associated to aircraft records to meet company and regulatory requirements. A thorough understanding of the organization, processes, maintenance tracking systems and cross-department coordination. Responsible for carrying out the mission, goals, and objective of the Air Methods’ Certificate.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Responsible for daily operations and performance of all aircraft records services. The Aircraft Records Supervisor functions as a leader for the AMC Records Auditing Staff and is responsible for ensuring all procedures in the Aircraft Records Standard Operating Procedures manual are followed.
    • Assist Aircraft Records Auditors to assure that all aircraft maintenance documentation is audited in compliance with applicable CFRs and company policies and procedures.
    • Perform periodic aircraft records audit for completeness and accuracy.
    • Provide support to MCAS to resolve configuration and compliance issues.
    • Auditing & maintaining engine & component configurations in the computerized maintenance tracking system 
  • Execute the records process for adding and removing aircraft to/from the AMC certificate to include back to birth of SLL parts/components, component serviceability, and aircraft component configuration build in the AMIS.
    • Configure new engine and major components into the computerized maintenance tracking system. Modify builds in AMIS based on repair and overhaul certification/documentations to include engine and airframe formulas
    • Audit and determine back birth traceability of life limited components in all induction and exit aircraft
    • Scan and index all induction aircraft records into electronic records system
    • Final audit status report for accuracy during the induction prior to the aircraft being placed on OPSPEC and during any aircraft lease or sale return process
  • Assists in the supervision, task assignment, and development of the Aircraft Records team in coordination with the Aircraft Records Manager.
    • Planning, assigning, and delegating duties and tasks
  • Ensure that all aircraft maintenance documentation is audited in compliance with applicable Code of Federal Regulations and company policies
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge of the Aircraft Records Standard Operating Procedures, Air Methods’ policies and procedures, as well as meeting operational goals and objectives
  • Responsible for completing quarterly Overhaul and Service Life Limit Audit outlined in the Aircraft Records SOP.
  • Perform verification and update of time limited components, including verifying compliance of hard time components
  • Ensures all maintenance publications and company manuals are current and available to maintenance personnel.
  • Responsible for Aircraft Records Auditor training & training records history
    • New Hire initial training 
    • Recurrent training 
    • Creation & updating of training guides and material

  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling < 55

Supervisory Responsibilities

Assists in the supervision, task assignment, and development of the Aircraft Records team in coordination with the Aircraft Records Manager

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience

Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communications skills 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to be a team player with a professional attitude.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
  • RAMCO experience preferred

USD $25.00/Hr.
