Overview

Job Summary

 

Executes building and fabrication of steel, aluminum, plastic, and composite detail parts in accordance with established policies, procedures, work instructions and specific customer requirements

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Fabricate parts using press break, shears, hammers, punches, drills, and other fabrication tools and machinery. Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff parts using hand and power tools
  • Follow necessary documentation for procedures, processes, and best-known-methods including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and completing relevant checklists
  • Read blueprints, Engineering Change Orders and job traveler specifications to determine the proper tooling required
  • Utilize precision measurement tools for part fabrication and inspection
  • Deburr, Sand, and inspect work pieces as required to meet product conformity
  • Setup and operation of CNC router tables
  • Ensure conformance to specifications
  • Ability to read and follow complex written instructions
  • Build tooling/fixturing as required to hold work pieces
  • Work with designers and engineers to resolve print/part issues and exchange technical information
  • Clean parts, equipment, and production areas as required
  • Maintain equipment
  • Maintain a safe work environment and staying OSHA compliant with relevant safety training
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools a plus
  • Other Duties as assigned

Additional Job Requirements

  • Regular scheduled attendance
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling

Supervisory Responsibilities

 

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

         

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six or more years’ experience working with sheet metal machines and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic familiarity with the use of hand tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in reading blueprints
  • Knowledge of fabricating the following materials: stainless steel, aluminum, and assorted plastics.

Working Hours

 

Night Shift: Monday through Friday 2:30PM to 11:00PM  (Includes an additional $2.75/hour shift differential)

USD $22.62/Hr.

Maximum Pay

USD $27.69/Hr.
