Overview

Job Summary

We are seeking a Compliance Intern to join our team at Air Methods, a leading provider in air medical services, completing over 100,000 transports per year. This is an exciting opportunity for a JD program student to gain hands-on experience in compliance-related issues. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about compliance and have excellent communication skills. The internship position involves working on various projects, including researching and drafting memos on compliance issues, assisting on specific internal audits, and attending internal meetings.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Perform research and assist with answering questions from internal clients on a variety of compliance topics, including, licensure, HIPAA, medical liens, etc.
  • Assist with internal compliance audits and investigations.
  • Assist with ongoing compliance and healthcare training projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Job Requirements

  • Regular scheduled attendance at corporate headquarters in Greenwood Village, CO
  • Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 0%

Subject to applicable laws and Air Method’s policies, regular attendance is an essential function of the position.  All employees must follow Air Methods’ employment practices and policies.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   

       

Education & Experience

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree, or paralegal certificate from two-year college or technical school.
  • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the healthcare industry.

 

 Skills

  • Knowledge of or interest in healthcare industry
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Professionally interact with all members of staff
  • Must possess ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects
  • Highly proficient proofreading, spelling and grammatical skills
  • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion

 

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and virtual meeting/Instant Messaging platforms such as MS Teams or Zoom

Minimum pay

USD $22.50/Hr.

Maximum Pay
