Overview

Job Summary

The Accounting Clerk will perform a wide variety of responsible clerical accounting work involved in performing financial record keeping and reporting duties in support of assigned accounting system, function, or program area including in the areas of general ledger, fixed assets and other ad hoc duties as assigned. The classification of this position is broad and assigned specific functional areas; duties and assignments may overlap depending on the operational needs of the department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Billing of Accounts Receivable
  • Following up on collections
  • Entering invoices into the system
  • Cash application
  • Running reports, pulling invoices
  • Assist with the annual audit pulling selections needed by the auditors
  • Assist with month end G/L closing 
  • Other duties as assigned

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.   

 

     

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) preferred. 
  • Accounting experience preferred.

Skills

 

Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

  • Able to meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Self-starter.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • General ledger accounting skills preferred. 

Computer Skills

  • Advanced with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Knowledge of Solomon, Ramco, and Coupa systems preferred but not necessary.

Minimum pay

USD $22.00/Hr.

Maximum Pay

USD $27.00/Hr.
