Overview

Job Summary

Responsible for planning scheduled heavy maintenance items for the company fleet of aircraft. Compile information, build work packages and plan workloads to expedite the maintenance and repair of the assigned aircraft fleet. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:  

  • Prepare work packages on all assigned aircraft, M facilities and maintenance bases and/or 145 repair stations for heavy maintenance or major alterations.
  • Manage maintenance plans to achieve a 95% inspection/task yield rate
  • Work closely with Repairs and Component Planners to schedule work of time-controlled parts and repetitive inspections to be performed by maintenance personnel
  • Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehousing and the AOG Buyer to insure availability of required parts tooling and components at the M facility or base
  • Ensure all requisitions for pre-planned parts and tooling orders are performed on time and within SOP & SOW requirements
  • Participate in Coordination and Pre-dock meetings with 145 repair stations (heavy maintenance planning only)
  • Schedule work compliance on all EOs, EAS and FCDs issued by Engineering for base or M facility accomplishment 
  • Coordinate with M facility leads, or 145 repair station management concerning available manpower and tooling to support planned/schedule maintenance and adjust work packages are necessary based on allocations. Conduct weekly planning meetings with area/region.
  • Schedule MEL deferrals to include materials and tooling to support heavy maintenance work packages
  • Coordinate Spare aircraft movements by way of SharePoint requests, working through Regional leaders (Area Managers, Regional Aviation Managers, Regional Lead AMTs and Regional maintenance Directors) to include Scheduling department and Part 91 pilots where able.
  • Provide assistance to Vendor 145 repair stations entering data into Ramco and Air Vault to close out work packages.
  • Audit completed work packages to transfer any deferred work and ensure work packages are closed out. Notify management of any discrepancies, delays or issues with work packages.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and seven to ten years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 year of aviation maintenance operations planning experience required
  • 1- 3 years maintenance management preferred (lead, supervisor, manager)
  • Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent military experience preferred

Skills

  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to Part 135 and Part 145, Part 135 maintenance program experience
  • Manages fluctuating priorities based on unforeseen process and resource challenges, defined projects and leadership prerogatives
  • Planning work assignments, schedules and reviews work in progress for highly fluid large complex area/region
  • Collaborates with various departments to develop statements of work, schedules and procedures
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and maintenance record keeping software

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access

USD $71,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay
