The Area Manager I is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of multiple Air Methods bases across the Southeast, with assigned locations throughout Tennessee, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina. This is a bonus-eligible leadership position responsible for driving operational, safety, staffing, and financial performance across the assigned area.
The Area Manager partners closely with Clinical, Aviation, Maintenance, Safety, and Sales leadership to maximize base readiness and in-service availability while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. This role provides direct oversight of base operations, monitors financial and operational performance, supports regional strategy, and builds a strong customer-focused culture across each assigned location.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, operational leader who can manage multiple locations, build strong cross-functional relationships, and drive accountability and consistent performance across a geographically dispersed territory.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the assigned area/region. Carries out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, selecting, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. For Exempt Managers: Managers that carry out these responsibilities for two or more employees will have significant input in hiring and termination decisions.
